When I ate it, my guess was that the meat had been sauteed in a sauce that included soy sauce, sugar, and ginger among other things.
It has a slightly unique flavor like mutton or something, but it tastes good.

On this page, fresh meat means raw meat.
These set meals include rice, soup and pickles. If you don't need them you can buy the a la cart ticket おかず単品.
Second, you hand your ticket to the staff at the section printed 受付 of the kitchen.
When you buy a set meal, you can change the rice to the large size for free if you want. (No extra charge.)
Say,

Next, get a numbered plastic plate as pictured below.
Then, find yourself an empty seat.
Finally, when your food is prepared, the staff calls your numbered card in Japanese. You can wait for the food at your table, but if you are not good at listening to Japanese, it would be better for you to wait for your food in front of the kitchen.
There were 2 kinds of pickles for free such as Chinese cabbage pickles and Takana-mayonnaise (pickled mustered leaf) mixed with mayonnaise.
Mayonnaise, salt, chill pepper, normal sauce, soy sauce and mustard were also available.
These are sometimes changed or run out, unfortunately.
I put Takana-mayonnaise on the rice and Chinese cabbage pickles on the small dish.
I have eaten three varieties of whale dishes such as steak, deep-fried and cutlet ones at this restaurant.
To be honest.
Currently, whale steak is my favorite between the three.
Because the steak had been sauteed in the sauce, the unique smell of the meat was decreased and the meat was softer.
Whereas the deep-fried and cutlet ones still had a smell that some people might not like.
After finishing the meal, you should return your empty dishes to the counter printed 食器下げ口 or the second counter.
Don't put it on the top counter printed お渡し口.
They sell frozen or canned whale foods.
When I went to the restaurant there were 2 kinds of foods with sauces to sample for free!
The toothpicks in the cup are new, however the dish is for used ones.
If you like any of the samples, you can purchase that product to take with you.
This is a type of whale sashimi (fresh whale) as pictured above.
The right side cup is a sauce.
You can put this sample meat in a sauce before tasting.
