A restaurant chain YAYOI (やよい軒 YAYOIKEN) offers many kinds of meals.
Especially, I like their chicken namban. It is yummy!

Beef, tofu, leek, Chinese cabbage, udon noodls and konnyaku noodles in the iron pot. This set meal includes rice, miso soup, raw egg and pickles.
Beaten raw egg is usually used as the ideal sauce for sukiyaki.
This is 糸こんにゃく Ito-konnyaku.
It is noodles made from konjac yam root.

The tartar is topped on the chicken.

A few years ago (In 2016), tartar sauce was always served on the side with your meal. You could mix some of the ingredients yourself, leaving it smooth and creamy,
or adding things like chopped radish pickles, making it chewy and a bit salty. It was a good system.
But now unfortunately, they only serve smooth tartar sauce directly on top of the chicken. I really miss the old way of serving tartar sauce.
Anyway, this chicken dish still tastes scrumptious. 😋

Put soy sauce 醤油 on tofu if you like.
I sometimes put mixed chili pepper in miso soup.

You can get free refills of pickles, hot tea and iced water yourself.
Their hot tea has good tea flavor.
You can also get free refills of Japanese dashi broth from a pod on the left in the picture above. The tap on the right is cold water. Help yourself.
It would be a good idea to simply drink the dashi broth with nothing, like warm soup. It is very light taste, but it has good Umami taste.
Japanese people often eat rice soaked in the dashi broth or Japanese tea like a porridge of rice with pickles and so on.
