Confusingly, MATSUYA 松屋 run 2 types of branches.
At the first type, they offer beef bowls "(Classic) Gyumeshi 牛めし" for 320 yen.
At the second type, they offer the "Premium Gyumeshi プレミアム牛めし" for 380 yen (especially around Tokyo district).
According to MATSUYA, the Premium Gyumeshi プレミアム牛めし uses higher quality beef (aged beef) and is served with their original spice flavor.
In my opinion, despite MATSUYA's claims, both beef bowls taste the same, with the exception of the original spice flavor on the Premium Gyumeshi. Both of them are delicious.
It's difficult for restaurant chains located throughout Japan to offer the
same pricing everywhere, because prices such as rent and employee fees are different in each district of Japan. Of course, expenses in Tokyo are higher than in smaller cities, so perhaps that is the reason why this beef bowl chain has to set 2 tiers of pricing for their beef bowls.
Please note that only a few branches in Tokyo offer the lower priced beef bowls, which cost 320 yen.

I think this one is less fatty than 1st - Barbecued Marinated Beef Set Meal カルビ焼肉定食 660 yen, but more tender in texture.
This is thinly sliced beef with chopped green onion and grated daikon radish.

This is fresh and chilled salad. Its quantity is good enough because only 110 yen. They offer a few kinds of dressings for free.

If you pay 190 yen more, you can change the miso soup to Tonjiru 豚汁. Tonjiru is a type of miso soup that has pork, tofu and few kinds of vegetables in it.

I sometimes order these items from a la cart menu.
To be honest.
I have eaten several kinds of MATSUYA's food so many times.
I prefer their beef dishes to pork dishes, because their pork is cheap and a little chewy.

Their restaurants have two types of order systems. One is self-service, and the other is a typical restaurant system.
However, the typical ones use table order system or meal ticketing machine at the entrance.
Buy meal tickets at the ticketing machine.

Find yourself an empty seat.
Green tea and cold water are self-service.
When your ticket numbers are shown on the display, you need to go to the counter to get your food, and hand your tickets to the staff.
Chopsticks and spoon are self-service.
