You can see the kitchen and fish tanks. Some types of fish are kept alive in the tank of the restaurant.
If you go there alone or with 1 other person, I recommend you ask if their counter seat is available, because you can see the fish swimming in the fish tanks.
さば Saba - Mackerel
ぶり Buri - Yellowtail (Japanese amberjack)
There is a large tank and some small tanks inside the restaurant.
たい Tai - Sea bream
It is also fun to occasionally see the fish splashing around in the net when they are being caught by the staff.
あじ Aji - Horse mackerel
Some types of living shellfish are kept in the tank.
This part of the restaurant's kitchen, where special pots are used, is for cooking traditional Japanese style rice KAMAMESHI 釜飯.
They use Japanese high quality rice. When I went to the restaurant, they posted information of the today's rice about growing area and name of the rice on a sign board.
When you sit on Japanese style mat (seat), you should take off your shoes.
